Human Rights Lund Online Seminar: Mind Control - Past and Future
Human Rights Lunch Online is a digital seminar series where Human Rights Profile Area members and guests present their latest projects and research.
Lukas J. Meier is Assistant Professor in Philosophy and new at Lund University as part of the Programme for Global Excellence. In this seminar, Lukas will draw on research into the CIA’s Cold War-era MKUltra programme. He will explore how emerging brain-computer interfaces could revive longstanding ambitions of mind control and behaviour manipulation, raising important questions for human rights and ethics in the age of neurotechnology.
