I am a PhD researcher in the project "Justice as Reciprocity: Fair Energy Transition for a Living Countryside" (RE:LELA) funded by the Swedish Energy Agency. The purpose of this project is to investigate opportunities for more inclusive energy policy and alternative transformations with a focus on rural areas. My research focuses on energy justice, environmental governance and human rights. In particular, I explore the role of local communities in a just energy transition and tensions between local and global scales.

I have previously worked on a research project exploring energy justice and environmental conflicts in the Shetland Islands, and have written about energy sufficiency, community wealth building and the commons. I am interested in how ethical choices shape our worlds and intersect with environmental, political and technological questions.

Given my journalistic work, I have also lectured on issues such as climate disinformation, propaganda, hybrid conflicts and press freedom.
