Emma Lennhammer is a doctoral researcher in human rights studies at Lund University and a member of the National Graduate School of Historical Studies. She is currently a visiting researcher at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. During the autumn of 2026, she is a visiting research associate at Queen Mary University of London Law School.

Emma's PhD Project, Time and Its Subjects in the Human Rights Imaginary, concerns legal temporalities in human rights reporting procedures, focusing particularly on the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the context of Sweden between 1970s and 2020s.

Emma has previously studied at Lund University (BA Human Rights), Uppsala University (MA Human Rights, MA Religion in Peace and Conflict), and the University of Bristol (LLM International Human Rights Law).
